Flores serves as the gateway to the mesmerizing Komodo National Park, home to the renowned Komodo dragons. However, this island is a treasure trove of diverse experiences. Venture to the western end and discover a stunning archipelago, featuring Savannah islands like Komodo, Rinca, Padar, Kanawa, and Seraya – a haven for unparalleled diving and snorkeling in Indonesia. To the east, you'll encounter the UNESCO Heritage Site of Wae Rebo, accessible only through a challenging 3-hour uphill trek, the intriguing Liang Bua Cave known as the "Hobbit Caves," and traditional Ngada villages. Further east beckon the Riung 17 Islands Marine Nature Reserve and the mystical tri-colored Kelimutu Lake, undergoing mesmerizing color shifts throughout the day.
